I’ve had a pretty good time in my line of work. I work for an HVAC company that provides heating and cooling solutions for ships and yachts. I’ve worked on so many boats, it’s unbelievable. But I have become entirely skilled when it comes to making for a comfortable environment on ships. We also service the current heating and cooling equipment on various types of boats and it’s always a pleasure to meet the captain and crew of the ships. I also appreciate being on different yachts as well. These are the most luxurious vessels on the sea, and it truly is a pleasure to have been on so many of these vessels. I love to check out all the cool features they have as well. Oftentimes, we have to upgrade old heating and cooling equipment that is failing. Boats need HVAC upgrades just like houses do, afterall, HVAC systems don’t last forever. Working on the ships is usually the most exciting. We also provide individual temperature control systems so crew members can adjust the temperature control settings accordingly wherever they happen to be in the ship. Having zoned HVAC on a ship is actually necessary because some areas naturally have to be cooler or warmer than others. The systems have to be powerful though and reliable with access to be maintained regularly. Providing HVAC tune-ups on boats is more challenging than traditional HVAC systems, but the work is so exciting.
