For a long time, I thought I could just get by using cheap air filters.
I always looked for the cheapest deal, and didn’t necessarily care about quality.
I even had the cashier at the store one time tell me that I should consider investing in better quality air filters. He said he wouldn’t put those cheap air filters in his HVAC system. I didn’t know how to feel about that at the time, but I realized he was right after awhile. The air quality in my apartment was pretty bad and those cheap air filters weren’t helping me any. The next time I went to the hardware store, I found the same guy from before. I asked him what air filters he would recommend. He laughed and said he wouldn’t even buy any of the air filters from that store, he just worked there. But he told me about this online HVAC supplier that sold quality air filters for cheap. He even said you could get HEPA filters for half the cost you would pay in the store and he liked to purchase those in bulk because they provided the best air quality above any other air filter. I decided to try buying a box of HEPA air filters. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the difference was amazing. Even after one day after installing a HEPA filter, the air quality in my apartment improved significantly. I remember when my parents came over for dinner, they asked if I invested in an air purification system, but I told them I was using HEPA filters and they were impressed.
