I am uncomfortable with the thermostat temperatures

When I talked to the doctor about the newborn, she said that I should consistently set the temperature to whatever temperature we normally liked, but she said that it is natural for parents to want to set the temperature too high in fear that the baby is going to be cold, and that this makes it strenuous for babies to sleep, even though I heard this, I still am afraid that our baby is too cold.

I have a newborn baby, and I will confess that I am having a strenuous time setting the thermostat. When it was just our spouse and me, the thermostat was honestly easy to set. I never really thought about the thermostat much in our house. My spouse and I had the same temperature preferences, so we simply needed to schedule the thermostat and let it run, but we liked the temperatures to be warmer while we were in the afternoon and cooler while we were in the night. After setting the schedule, the only thing that we had to do with the thermostat was ensure that it was either on heat or cool depending on which season we were in, and now that we have a newborn, everything has changed, and I don’t feel how I feel about it. When I talked to the doctor about the newborn, she said that I should consistently set the temperature to whatever temperature we normally liked, but she said that it is natural for parents to want to set the temperature too high in fear that the baby is going to be cold, and that this makes it strenuous for babies to sleep, even though I heard this, I still am afraid that our baby is too cold. we didn’t adjust the thermostat much, we did set it to a higher temperature just in case, and I know that the baby prefers the warmer temperature. Now, the only concern with our thermostat setting is that I am uncomfortable. Now, the temperatures at night are much warmer, and it makes it strenuous to sleep.
