The gas furnace at the school was broken, and it seemed that nobody had any idea what to do.
We go to a small school, and this school is a privately operated school.
This means that when something stops working at the school, the school is responsible for paying for the repair. Since the school is new, they have never entirely had to do anything like this before, and that became apparent when the gas furnace stopped finally working in the school. The school is not actually large, and they were able to install one large gas furnace for the entire school. Normally, the gas furnace works actually well at the school, but the gas furnace had a problem this week. During the middle of the class, the gas furnace stopped blowing out heat. None of us are entirely sure when it happened, because the power was still on. The gas furnace does make background noise, and when it shuts off, the vents suddenly become quiet. However, we were consistently busy, so we didn’t entirely notice the background noise, but instead, we just observed that things seemed extra quiet. However, after an hour, it was actually apparent that the furnace was broken. The temperature in the classrooms became actually cold, and the professors asked the office to adjust the thermostat. That is when the office staff informed the professors that the gas furnace was broken, at first, the school was sure that the gas furnace would be fixed hastily, but it was not. In another fourth, the students were sent home until the gas furnace was fixed. Thankfully, the heating and air conditioning specialist was able to repair the gas furnace hastily.
