Need to take care of my furnace

A thorough cleaning removes the buildup of contaminants within the inner workings that would otherwise restrict airflow, hinder performance and negatively impact indoor air quality.

My house is twenty miles from my nearest neighbor. It is surrounded by woods. I really appreciate the quiet and privacy. I see squirrels, rabbits, deer, groundhogs, foxes and all sorts of birds in my yard. The climate in my area includes especially long and freezing cold winters. I expect to start up the furnace by the end of October. There are usually several inches of snow on the ground by Halloween, and we accumulate feet over the course of the winter. The snow doesn’t melt until after Easter. The temperature is frequently below freezing and sometimes drops into the negative digits. The furnace is essential. Being so far removed from civilization and loathed on a dirt road makes my house nearly impossible to reach during inclement weather. There are blizzard conditions, white-outs and driving bans. I need my furnace to operate reliably. I can’t have it quitting and leaving me without heat. There might be no way for an HVAC repairman to access my house for days or even weeks. I need to have confidence in my heating system. It’s important to make sure the furnace is operating at its best at the start of the winter. I joined a maintenance program with the closest HVAC company. A technician visits the house sometime in the fall to service the furnace. He completes a comprehensive inspection, identifying any concerns and replacing broken parts. A thorough cleaning removes the buildup of contaminants within the inner workings that would otherwise restrict airflow, hinder performance and negatively impact indoor air quality. He provides testing, adjustment and troubleshooting to ensure dependable operation. He does everything from replacing the air filter to verifying the integrity of the heat exchanger. Because of this, I can trust that my furnace will provide safe, efficient and effective comfort throughout the long winters.
