I am a retired heating and air conditioning specialist.
And in my free time that I have now days I still find myself being in the HVAC repair world. I just can not get away from the need to want to help people I know with all their heating and air conditioning issues. Mostly it is friends and family. Are they taking advantage of the fact that I am a retired heating and air conditioning specialist? Maybe, but they do offer me cash when I fix something. I just do not take it. I feel that in a way, they are doing me a favor by calling on me to assist in fixing their heating and air conditioning system issues because after retiring, I found myself feeling kind of bored. I am always looking for something to do. So being able to help friends and loved ones with any issues that may arise with their central heating and air conditioning system is one good thing. It does not happen every single day of the week, but maybe a few times a month. Also by me doing this for no cash, it saves them a ton of money in the long run. If they called a heating and air conditioning company for some of the things I have been doing, they would have spent hundreds of bucks. But again, I do not mind. It keeps me occupied and gives me something to do on those days when I am super bored just sitting around looking for something to do. I miss being a certified heating and air conditioning specialist.
