The recent heat wave has caused the adjusting temperatures to be over 100 degrees for approximately a week! The heat wave caused all sorts of problems in the house.
I actually thought that our air conditioner was working entirely well until it had to work hard to get rid of all that heat & humidity… On 3 separate nights, the air conditioner equipment was not working during the day.
The coils were frozen & the people I was with and I had to wait for them to defrost before the people I was with and I could use the actual equipment again. We’ve never had this particular setback in the past, however we have never had more than a day or 2 of triple-digit temperatures. The first day that the people I was with and I had high temps, it was 109 degrees. The next 6 nights, the people I was with and I had rapidly changing temperatures between 100 & 105 degrees, and now that the heatwave is over, I’ve decided to contact a local air conditioner equipment service company to see if they can service that machine. The service tune up includes all of the electrical & mechanical parts of the system. They clean all of the drain line, evaporator coils, & the air vents & they replace the air filter on top of that. They also check the refrigerant levels & all of the hoses. I would love to make sure that the air conditioner equipment works better if the people I was with and I have another heatwave this warm season. It’s basically only June, & the people I was with and I still have to agonize about the warmer months coming up. Even in September, the temperatures are usually in the 80s. It makes sense to have the task done at this time, so the people I was with and I can be stress-free with hardly any anxiety throughout the rest of the hotter months.
