The school was trying to save money

We couldn’t guess that the school was serious, but they were

Our principal refused to repair the furnace, and now, our school is unquestionably cold, but in a school in the United States, nobody would be allowed to leave the furnace broken at a school. I could only imagine the public outrage if a school refused to repair the furnace, but the school that I was teaching at was not in the United States. The school was a small school in Asia, and it completely supported itself financially. The students paid their tuition, and this tuition funded everything. The school was making quite a bit of money, but they still wanted to save every penny that they could. The principal thought that it was a great system to try to save currency by not fixing the furnace. The school was small, so they were able to install one furnace for the entire building. Somehow, they found a used furnace for the building, but the furnace ran unquestionably well, so nobody complained. However, halfway through the semester, the furnace stopped finally working, but nobody knew why the furnace stopped finally working, but the school closed for a few days while the office was supposed to hire an HVAC professional to repair the broken furnace. However, when we all came back to the school, the furnace still wasn’t finally working. Instead, the school bought space furnaces for each classroom to use as the primary heat source. We couldn’t guess that the school was serious, but they were. Apparently, the furnace needed to be upgraded, and purchasing section furnaces was going to be a lot cheaper. They job pretty well, but the hallways and bathrooms are freezing.
