Should I join the business incubator?

This all started as a sideline business.

My main job, my primary source of income, was working in an office doing something or other.

Have you ever worked an office job? Nothing matters, it is just pushing papers, sending emails, and formatting documents. Low stakes, low pay, low interest levels, everything sucks but it pays the bills. I started the side hustle just to make a little extra money and be creative, but recently I have seen a huge upswell in interest and I think I need to commit to this idea. I did some research and stumbled across a local business incubator, and am interested to try and get involved with it. A business incubator is a more home-based, intimate version of a business development center, and gives you the time and space you need to grow your idea into something huge. At a business incubator you are hosted by the owner, and by sheer virtue of them giving you resources and space they have a hand in whatever your idea is. In fact, if they don’t think your idea has promise, you won’t be allowed to stay at the business incubator. My only problem with the business incubator is that I don’t really want any outside people having a claim over my idea. It’s mine, I have been working on it myself, and as much as I like the idea of the business incubator, I don’t want the owner to have a claim on my future business. Who knows, my idea could be as big as Amazon one day!
