Is my A/C making me sick?

I was starting to think it was just bad luck that I always seem to get sick on the weekends.

I feel pretty good throughout the work week.

However, when Saturday morning rolls around I always feel like I’m coming down with a virus. It is always worse during the day. At night, I always feel much better. That is why, when Monday rolls around, I am ready to go back to work. It is terrible. I can never do anything fun on my days off because I feel so sick. This went on for a few months until I noticed a strange coincidence. I only feel sick when my home air conditioner is on. I don’t run the air conditioner at night because it cools down a lot at night so I just open my windows. I also don’t run my air conditioner when I am at work. There is no need. I do, however, run my air conditioner all day long on the weekends. I decided to do a little experiment last Saturday. I didn’t turn my air conditioner on when I got up at 10am. Instead, I got dressed and ran a bunch of neglected errands. I didn’t feel sick at all. Six hours later I came home and turned the air conditioner on. Less than 30 minutes later I started feeling sick. I turned it back off and I felt better in a few hours. So I guess I need an air conditioning company to come out and clean my air conditioner and maybe my ductwork. I don’t know for sure but I am sure the A/C professionals will be able to help. Then maybe I won’t keep getting sick.
